WHAT IS THE ALL ON 4 PROCEDURE?
Placing 4 implants on top and 4 implants on bottom with
possibility of having to have grafting, ridge splitting or sinus
lifting done, followed by a fixed prosthetic that looks like natural
teeth on the same day
(this will be a temporary until fully healed).
Healing time is around 4 months.
This procedure is the best for long term integrity of your
oral health if your natural teeth are no longer restorable.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD CANDIDATE?
All-on-four candidates must also have good oral health including adequate jawbone density and healthy gums.
However, even if you have lost bone mass from missing teeth, the dentist may be able to be precise enough with implant placement to utilize the existing bone mass to ensure a stable foundation.
